Personality

Scorpius is quiet and shy, quietly invested in correcting the incorrect assumptions about Malfoys. He does not speak out about his thoughts unless he is challenged, in which case his family pride can rear its head. He would never admit to loneliness, but he does not relate well to other students, which is exacerbated by the uncomfortable associations that being a Malfoy now publicly carries.

History

Born to Draco and Astoria Malfoy, Scorpius was raised as every Malfoy son ought to be: with the best of everything money could buy. Yet his father's former association with certain disreputable groups is well known and the Malfoy name is not one of unquestioned prestige any longer. Scorpius' childhood consisted of long quiet months alone punctuated occasionally by a flash of glamour as Astoria's parties sought to prove that Malfoy Manor was still a place of proper social standing. Scorpius' response was to retreat into himself and his books and he was seldom missed about the house.

At Hogwarts, Scorpius has few close friends. His devotion was always to his studies, to make his father and mother proud. This has proven difficult as Draco is prone to long bouts of silence and seclusion with little thought shown for others. He has never had the violence of temperament that Grandfather Lucius always brought with him on his visits, but Draco's neglect is almost more alienating. Still, Scorpius struggles to make top grades to prove his worth. When he is not buried in books, he is practicing Quidditch. Draco insisted upon it, so Scorpius took up flying and soon made Seeker. It does not fill him with any particular joy, but he appreciates the chance to escape the castle alone to practice.
